عبر زعيم جبهة البوليساريو الانفصالية، إبراهيم غالي، عن رغبته في الدخول في مفاوضات مباشرة مع المغرب بدون شروط مسبقة،مبينا إلى أن دخول المملكة للاتحاد الإفريقي خلق دينامية كبيرة قد تُساعد في التوصل إلى حلّ لقضية الصحراء.
وأفاد إبراهيم غالي على هامش القمة 31 للاتحاد الإفريقي بنواكشوط، أن المملكة المغربية استطاعت إقناع عدد من الدول بسحب الاعتراف الدعم عن جبهة البوليساريو، مضيفاً أن الجبهة تبذل جهوداً كبيرة من أجل استعادة الاعتراف من طرف تلك الدول.
وتهرّب زعيم الجبهة المدعومة من الجزائر، من الإجابة عن سؤال متعلّق بمصادر تمويل وتسليح البوليساريو، مكتفياً بجواب فضفاض يتحدث فيه عن ما اعتبره دعم سكان تيندوف المؤمنين بالقضية، و رفض إبراهيم غالي الحديث عن ذلك، مُدّعياً أن المغرب اتخذ قرار قطع العلاقات مع إيران بناءً على إملاءات من جهات معينة.
